Planes and Mass

This arrangement expresses the beauty of the planes in space created by broad flat-leafed plants, complemented by a mass of flowers. The surface and angle of the leaves are the focus of this type of arrangement; the flowers act as complementary materials. Place the leaves to express different angles, planes, and elevations to give movement and depth to the setting. The flowers are arranged to balance in harmony with the length of the leaves. They should be placed low and forward with slight variations in height to give the impression of a mass.
